It is very exciting news that Mozilla has received more than 8 million requests for Firefox 3 downloads on the first day of releasing. A very exciting zoom technique on online maps has been introduced by ALPSLAB known as Fish-Eye zoom, on which you can magnify selected parts of a map, as if you are using a manual Fish-Eye lens. To activate this feature, you have to click anywhere on the map and then you can place the Fish-Eye lens anywhere on the map. The continuity of features are not interupted while moving the lens over that.

Yahoo! India has introduced a new service for the first time in India that maps and directions details are available in Indian local languages. Apart from English as the default language, users can also experience the service in Hindi, Tamil, Gujarati, Marathi, Bengali, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam and Punjabi.
