China Earthquake -Online Maps of Sichuan

A high intensity earthquake of magnitude of 7.9 in the Richter scale was hit Sichuan, China on May 12, with its epicenter about 50 miles northwest of Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan. Wei Luo, Technical Lead Manager, Google Earth wrote details about this in google-latlong.blogspot site. According to the latest news reports authorities fear that about 50,000 people could have lost their lives.
The quake devastated a region of small cities and towns set amid steep hills north of Sichuan’s provincial capital of Chengdu. Striking in mid afternoon,
it emptied office buildings across the country in Beijing and could be felt as far away as Vietnam (as Yahoo reported).
