Online maps are available from many sources across the World Wide Web. First Google has entered into this map publishing service with highly interactive satellite images, maps and terrain images. The Google Maps API enable developers to create new applications and mashups, thereby pushing the Google Maps brand to mainstream audiences. Microsoft, Yahoo, MapQuest and others quickly followed the trend. Among these mapping services it is difficult to find out which is the best service for us with more accurate maps and attribute information.

There is high competition among these companies providing various map services. Comparing the map features of different services is not a simple task. Here you can see a beautiful attempt made by Sergey Chernyshev to compare Google and Yahoo! Maps. Click on the map and compare the features of Google and Yahoo! Maps for the same view simultaneously. When you use your mouse to drag Yahoo! Map on the right - the Google Map on the left will follow the same. If one of the maps is not seen while doing it, please refresh your browser. You can directly access the map services by clicking the direct links given on the page. Thanks to Sergey Chernyshev for the efforts.
