Store and manage your health data with Google

June 24, 2008 · Filed Under Internet · Comment

Google Health is a new service which allows you to store and manage all of your health information in one central place. It’s completely free and you can log into this service  by your google account.  Google believes that you own your medical records and should have easy access to them. The way we see it, it’s your information; why shouldn’t you control it?

  • Keep your doctors up-to-date
  • Stop filling out the same paperwork every time you see a new doctor
  • Avoid getting the same lab tests done over and over again because your doctor cannot get copies of your latest results
  • Don’t lose your medical records because of a move, change in jobs or health insurance.

With Google Health, you manage your health information — not your health insurance plan or your employer. You can access your information anywhere, at any time.

9 Interesting Features of Firefox 3

It is very exciting news that Mozilla has received more than 8 million requests for Firefox 3 downloads on the first day of releasing.  I am a fan of Firefox and using it for the past two years and always looking for new versions and add-ons. It is a wonderful browser package ever I have seen especially with it’s browsing speed and other features where other leading browsers are struggling. Firefox 3 sets the innovation bar very high with exciting new features, including one-click bookmarking, the smart location bar and lightning fast performance. I have downloaded the new version and tested it and see some of the new features of Firefox in the new version which distinguishes this from other competitors.

Windows shortcut keys for common applications

June 21, 2008 · Filed Under Software · Comment

This is a very common windows shortcut key to restart a PC or to open Windows Task Manager window. Don’t try this unless you require. I am a great fan of shortcuts with my desktop applications. Shortcut keys help provide an easier and usually quicker method of navigating and using computer software programs. These are commonly accessed by using the combination of Alt, Ctrl, and/or Shift in conjunction with a single letter. The de facto standard for listing a shortcut is listing the modifier key, a plus symbol, and the single character. Or in other words, “ALT+S” is telling you to press the Alt key and while continuing to hold the Alt key, press the S key to perform the shortcut. There are many websites giving shortcut keys for your regular desktop applications.

Try shortcuts given in shortcutworld.com. Shortcuts and description of Firefox, Winamp, Windows XP, Word, Excel etc. are explained nicely on the site. Also, Photoshop keys.
