Google Chrome web browser has arrived in beta form. I tested the browser on the first day of release.  Good, clean, nice interface, looks faster and comparable with other browsers.  It is still under experimental stage and many of our favourite plugins like java and flash may not work properly in this beta release. Firefox is my favourite browser and I will not be shifting to another browser for time being.  Google Chrome browser interface is so attractive and I was trying to get a similar skin for my  Firefox. Fortunately Mozilla team has developed a theme  ‘chromifox’ which resembles Google Chrome. It is a bright and soft blue theme for Firefox 3 on Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X, and is inspired by the appearance of the Google Chrome web browser.

If you like to have the look and feel of Google Chrome browser with Firefox, then download chromifox extrension which is an addon to your exisiting firefox. Chromifox has got the meaning that “coat of Chrome for Firefox”.

Windows shortcut keys for common applications

This is a very common windows shortcut key to restart a PC or to open Windows Task Manager window. Don’t try this unless you require. I am a great fan of shortcuts with my desktop applications. Shortcut keys help provide an easier and usually quicker method of navigating and using computer software programs. These are commonly accessed by using the combination of Alt, Ctrl, and/or Shift in conjunction with a single letter. The de facto standard for listing a shortcut is listing the modifier key, a plus symbol, and the single character. Or in other words, “ALT+S” is telling you to press the Alt key and while continuing to hold the Alt key, press the S key to perform the shortcut. There are many websites giving shortcut keys for your regular desktop applications.

Try shortcuts given in shortcutworld.com. Shortcuts and description of Firefox, Winamp, Windows XP, Word, Excel etc. are explained nicely on the site. Also, Photoshop keys.
